Finch is a lavalier microphone designed for IOS devices, it can pick up sounds omnidirectionally and improve the quality of sound recorded on the device. It transmits signals through the lightning interface, which is compatible with video and audio recording application software.

Pixel Finch Mic for iPhone/ ipad is identified by Apple MFi-certified. MFi certification represents Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad. When a product is MFi-certified, you can be sure it's safe to use. A lavalier microphone with lightning connectors that are not MFi-certified may damage your devices.

The small microphone weights only 0.32oz, extremely portable that you even barely notice it is clipped on your shirt. Diameter of this lav mic is 0.43 inch at most. The ultra small design makes the lav microphone unobtrusive and easy to seal into clothes for various applications.

The aluminum alloy housing of the lavalier mic for iPhone combines the benefit of a robust design with reliable protection against moisture. Besides, the Ultra-thin and heavy-duty cable gets as far as 10ft(3M), long enough to empower your creativity by allowing you to roam or act free.

    Very Disappointed

    Arrived quickly and in excellent condition. Unfortunately, despite being listed as an official iphone accessory, my iphone 14 (iOs17) improperly recognizes it as a “headphones”. While the mic technically works (picks up sound) on the input (I can see the little “sound waves symbols suggesting it hears my voice), it sends the output back to the “headphone speaker” — meaning, there is no output. Based on user YouTube's, it seems that in the past users could send the output through the Microphone Live app to a bluetooth speaker. But currently this is impossible. VERY disappointing, as this is the sole reason I bought the Pixel Finch lavalier. What are the odds that Pixel and Apple will read this review (and others like it) and timely fix the problem? If they do, I will be happy to submit an updated review.

    High level of background white noises

    I had the Lightning plug version of this microphone for use with my iPhone 13 Pro. Worked great. Since switching to iPhone 15 Pro Max, which comes with USB-C, I bought the USB-C version of this microphone and I was surprised at many levels. First, he poping filter foam easily get removed from the mic. Second, this is not the same mic at all when I compare this with the Lightning version. Third, the sound quality: really high level of background white noise which requires lots of manipulations on the computer to remove them... it's not good at all. I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone. Sorry.
